Orientation, where can I start? I know, I am one of the 160 international students from 46 countries this semester at University of Stavanger(UiS).Today we were greeted by the Rector, Aslaug Mikkelsen.(pictured right) .
Then we were given an intro to the various faculties before we broke for lunch and a mouth-watering taste of a typical Norwegian diet. Three students (pictured left with Ada Hanson from International Relations) were interviewed by the UiS Executive Communications officer. I managed to eat and greet our Nursing co-ordinater Tove Teigen (Front left) and the two other exchange students studying nursing Brianna(Front right) and Shannon(Top Right) both from Thompson Rivers Uni in Canada. Our lunch was followed by an IT session, student ID card photos and finally the campus tour. The view from the small hill on campus is picturesque and the SiS sports centre facilities are excellent and very reasonably priced.
