Goodbye to the UK and Hei from Stavanger!!

After a week of brief visiting including a trip to the Edinburgh fringe festival to see Prodigal Daughter by the Women of Asia Theatre Company(see photos).







I am here ...Hei from Stavanger !!!! A little plane delay and I am on Norwegian soil.
I pay my respects to all the ancestors of this land.
The air is clean and fresh but unfortunately for me the rain started today. I was met at Sola Airport by the very capable Trina. I was shown to my lodgings and given a brief but informative Uni and its locale tour; and above and beyond the call of duty Trina assisted me to gain internet access. Takk (Thanks) Trina!!!
I took the opportunity to go food shopping and learn a few basic words. Everyone was helpful and friendly as they patiently explained meanings to me. I am in student accommodation which is very clean and convenient. across the road from the shops and bank and on the bus route, 5-10mins to University of Stavanger. There is a cosmopolitan mix in our dorm 2 Australians, 2 Bangladeshi, a Ukranian, a Spaniard who I have met and two others I have not yet met. we have single rooms and share a bathroom with one other person.
